Here’s some information about acuscope and myopulse therapy that worked miracles for my brother Steve’s peripheral neuropathy brought on by chemotherapy. His pain had been intense and never ending, sometimes had him in tears. Me too. We were lucky. I found an alternative therapy clinic in his neighborhood that used both therapies and in short time, Steve reported a 99-100% reduction in pain. It varied a little bit from day to day. His doctor had provided several prescription drugs, one of which was Neurotin (generic Gabapentin), which didn’t help. Inspite of this, when my brother went to him to share what worked, his doctor listened but refused to tell his other patients about it as an option they could consider. Can’t forgive that.
Both treatments have been used by physical therapists for over 35 years, and now, it’s not that easy to find. You must be tenacious. You’ll probably be able to find these units for sale as well, but it’s easier if someone is there helping you with it. They’re not painful, BTW.
The other remedy for canker sores, a common side effect of chemo and radiation treatments, is Canker Sores Begone, a remedy I came up with myself many years ago for my own canker sores brought on by stress and dental work. I went on to create a business for it, but had no idea it was helping canker sores caused by these cancer treatments until I started receiving occasional calls from cancer support group members who said it’s the only thing that helps them. Now, this was back in 2004, and perhaps there are other products or prescription drugs that do help this population now. But I still get those calls, in fact it was a call from last week that inspired today’s blog. There happens to be an August promotion running for Canker Sores Begone, $6.90 with free shipping so get it while the gettings good. The regular price goes back in effect to $11.86 on September 1st. Use discount code: storage2011. A shipping fee of $2 will be charged on your credit card but credited within 24 hours. This remedy can only be shipped within the United States.
If you’re interested in my background and how I came to start a business involving canker sores, and cold sores, click on the About Robin tab above. My brother did eventually pass away from lymphoma. Here’s a blog I wrote about him on the anniversary of his passing last year, January 3, 2010. It’s not maudlin, full of love and light hearted, with pictures of Steve from baby to two weeks prior to his passing.
