Sharks of Shark Tank discuss best and worst deals

If you’re a fan of the show, remember I Want to Draw A Cat For You?

The investor, Mark Cuban, said “it’s doing incredibly well”. Hmmm. I’m not sure I get it, but I’m glad for him and entrepreneur, Steve Gadlin, who’s also a web developer, writer and comedian living in Chicago, Illinois.

Perhaps you recall Toygaroo.
Toygaroo, good concept, poor execution

Cuban and Kevin O’Leary, who invested in it together,  say it was the worst deal. The company went under.  Unfortunate, I liked the concept.

Readerest is one of Lori Greiner’s best deals with over $2 million in retail sales.  Here’s the link to the product on QVC.

About the author

Robin Barr is a business owner, animal lover, information and resources junkie, and a fan of innovation. She's also the inventor of award-winning Cold Sores Begone™, an instant preventative, and Canker Sores Begone™, a healing accelerator. A boomer and ENFP, Robin lives in Mission Viejo, Calif.

About Robin Barr

I was born in New Jersey, and when I was 3, my parents moved to Southern CA where I've lived since in Covina, San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, Laguna Niguel and now Mission Viejo. I love dogs and cats and compassionate about all living creatures. What do I do for a living? I invent problem solvers. Have you seen Cold Sores Begone™ or Canker Sores Begone™ in health food stores or online? Mine. I like using stuff that won’t kill me later so both remedies are non-toxic, safe enough for small children, and topical (I don't swallow pills easily). If you want to prevent a cold sore from materializing when you feel the early tingle symptom, apply a few drops of Cold Sores Begone™. Done. If you're plagued with those painful ulcerations inside the mouth (canker sores), apply a few drops of Canker Sores Begone™a few times a day, and it should disappear in 2-3 days. I was elated when PREVENTION and NATURAL HEALTH magazines told the world my two products work as promised. Afterall, I'm just an accidental entrepreneur. Read the circumstances of how I came to be a small business owner here, scrolling down to the paragraph header that starts with "If you're curious...". Everything above it is a repeat of this bio.

    Yes Robin,

Just like you when I saw Steve on in the Shark Tank, doing his Cat dance, I thought it was hilarious. I was shocked that the sharks were even interested. But they were and Steve got a deal and is doing great.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Steve a couple months ago, he is a really smart & creative guy! He shared with me the shark tank process form start to finish.

I included his interview as a bonus in my new book about Shark Tanks, its called Conversations With Sharks and can be found on my website

Thanks for a Great post Robin, Keep’em coming!

Thanks for the feedback, Kelly. I’m a total fan of Shark Tank, it’s probably my favorite show, and don’t know why they do so few episodes per season. I also don’t know why they don’t do clothing changes between tapings, which I assume are all done on the same day. Maybe you’ve addressed this in your book, which I’m going to order right now. Can’t wait to get it. Will spread the word to some fellow business owners who are also big Shark Tank fans.

Just a note for anyone following Kelly’s link to his book, there’s a typo. Go to

Thanks So Much Robin, I really appreciate that. Yes me & a friend were talking about that also, how many times were we gonna see Barbara in that red dress! LOL But yes they do record the season in a day.

Oh and thanks for fixing my typo! It was early this morning when I ran across your post!
